Indy Curves
R.A. Buys Indy Curves is a sculpture designed to be seen as a wave form, relating to water. They are made of metal, and painted in a red reflective coating. The French curves are designed to be suspended from trees at least 15 or more feet above the ground. The curves have natural holes to keep wind resistance low. Each piece is 4 to 6 feet long and roughly 2 to 3 feet wide. |
“With these bold French curves suspended in the trees, I hope that the viewer will get the same inspiration that I got from them, which is to see different objects in the curves that reflect qualities of nature and the neighborhood around them. With a world that revolves around looking at a screen, at a phone, or at the ground as you walk, I’m hoping to give one a reason to take a moment and stop and look up at the trees, the sky, or to just reflect for a moment about things around them.” – R.A.
